Multi-Cultural Club

The Multi-Cultural Club is a club that is made of a group of students who takes initiative to increase the awareness of the City Honors student body towards the many enriching cultures in their school community. The MCC was created three years ago and through the years, it has been more of a private club. However, this year, through the student leadership of the club, the MCC has become more active in the school community.

The MCC organized an Asian Alcove Day on November 30th, 2005 (previous to this, the MCC also conducted a Hispanic Alcove Day in October). The main purpose of every cultural alcove day is for the enjoyment of the students and teachers.

There is a small buffet of the cultural delicacies, and in particular on Asian Alcove Day, there were egg rolls, spring rolls, mixed squid noodles, fried rice, and various other deserts were served. In the background, there was cultural music and also a trivia game with candy prizes (many younger classmen enjoyed this activity).
